We are sorry to inform visitors to this site that Cath has recently passed away. This site will continue for the time being as a tribute to Cath's life and work.

Dr. Cath Filmer-DaviesDr Cath Filmer-Davies lived and worked in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.

Her company, 'Call Cath' is involved in Publicity, Promotion and PR, broadcasting, public speaking, writing, journalism, editing, proofreading and manuscript assessment, as well as giving seminars to writers' groups and to business and professional people. She has clients in Wales, England, the Republic of Ireland, the United States and Australia.

Among other activities, Cath has been under contract to a major public body to work as Publications Officer, which involved overseeing the editing, design and production of a range of materials. She has also worked with Ashley Drake as Production Editor, and she can also assist authors with self-publishing.

She will travel to solo writers or to groups throughout Wales and can be contacted by email or by telephoning 01446 794 967.

Cath has been an associate member of Yr Academi Gymreig, and also a member of the Queensland Writers' Centre. She now runs the Welsh Society of Editors, and provides help for writers wherever they might live.

Cath has recently launched Flosswyr Press - a Professional Publishing Service for authors of non-commercial works.

This fantastic book not only tells the story of the Welsh Eisteddfod, but it gives details about eisteddfodau in other countries.
It also gives a complete list of all eisteddfodau, chairs, crowns and Literary Medals awarded since 1880, a list of all archdruids since 1880, and details of forthcoming eisteddfodau.
There is a further list of the regional and local eisteddofdau throughout Wales, and material on the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and the National Eisteddfod of the Urdd Gobaith Cymru (Order of the Hope of Wales).
